Latest Kannada movie ‘Kidi’ received poor response from the audiences on first day of its release. Featuring R Bhuvan Chandra, Pallavi Gowda, Danny Kuttappa, and Ugrham Manju in leading roles, the Kannada language offering witnessed average occupancy on opening day. The action thriller celluloid released on minor number of screens in Kerala on 6th October 2017.
Facing a box office clash with parallel release, the multi-starrer cinema reported a variations occupancy in the morning shows. Public response for the film remained steady throughout the day. The theatre occupancy didn’t surge in the noon shows and the celluloid witnessed stagnant occupancy on Friday i.e. first day of its release in cinema halls.
Directed by renowned filmmaker S Raghu, the new Kannada flick gained normal response from film-watchers in various cities across the state. Filmed in a single language (Kannada) only, the action thriller offering didn’t release in Telugu and Tamil speaking states. Produced under the banner of ‘Master’s Choice Creations’, the Kannada film is expected showcase growth in its overall performance in the weekend days.
As newly released Hollywood and English cinemas established a strong hold in several theatres and multiplexes in foreign countries, ‘Kidi’ movie didn’t manage to attract a great number of audience in the international arena. Thus, the celluloid registered very less business in the overseas. Latest box office figures of the film are awaited.
